Will an Asian ever win American Idol?!

I'd hope so.... Filipino's tend to have really amazing voices...
if american idol stumbles upon an Asian that does magnificient throughout the whole competition then hey, you never know.. right? Im Asian, I watch American Idol & there's not alot of Asians who audition in the first place. Yes, there are a few but they either end up not getting far or not impressing Simon, Paula, & Randy at the auditions.
But as time goes by, you never know what might happen.
Sure, American Idol has to keep its quotas.

Although i have to agree with whoever said that Asian teenagers are busy with their country's popstar contests. Heh it's true. SM Entertainment does a Global Audition every year searching for talented asians and if your lucky to be one of out how many, then you get to go overseas and all that fun stuff. I'd prefer that than American Idol.
If an Asian living in America has a good voice
they would have a chance.
Wasn't there an Asian guy last year in the top 20? I can't remember his name. Then there was the girl who came in 3rd a few seasons back named Jasmine. I think she was an Asian (or Pacific Islander? Hawaiian?)

i remember the third runner up in season 3 was asian i totally forgot her name tho! but that would be cool =)
