Question: I don't think the Simpsons are funny anymore. I mean the new ones. They are so boring!!! Like they just don't do any new jokes or anything. The old ones were amazing and I laughed my butt off at them! but now...its like, UGH THE FRIGGIN SIMPSONS IS ON! TURN IT OFF!

I totally agree with you. The jokes have become too repititive. The Simpsons Movie was so overrated too, i think i laughed twice the whole movie!! Its the sad truth that when a show comes to this point where all the good writers have moved on (or on strike) and so much is happening in the world thats not funny but serious. I think the Simpsons should shut shop and leave on a high. Its been one hell of a ride and it would be sad for them to go but i would rather see them leave now than fox dropping the show in a couple of years due to low trps.
It would be an easier 10 points if there were an actual question involved, but I tend to agree with the overall rant.

Your all wrong, the newest Simpson's episodes have been completely back on track just like the old episodes. the problem is you; those old episodes were so original and funny for the time they came out, they'll always stand out in your mind as funnier than the newest ones. The Simpsons' are just as funny as ever, but come on, after 19 years they're running low on new ideas. They're doing a great job still. And Yes, Conan is great, he was great on the Simpsons, but he wasnt the only reason they were great. He was a producer and writer, but didn't handle the show single handedly. It takes a lot of people and a lot of different ideas to make one great episode, not just one guy who was there for a little over one season.
Of course the old episodes we′re a lot better, they′re classic!
It has lost a good deal of the edge that it had in it's first few seasons. Many shows do after they have played out awhile. They are still funny, but in a more subdued way. And, as you mentioned, writers come and go and directions of shows change.

You know what, you are right. It is not as funny as it used to be though I still watch it every Sunday night when it it on. I wonder if we are expecting too much or they are just plain running out of story lines. The should get more writers who will have new ideas.
I don't think Conan is going back to write for 'The Simpson's he is waiting to take over the 'Tonight Show' where he will be making a cool 40 million dollars annually. Actually that is if Jay Leno changes his mind and stays on and that means Conan will still get the money because NBC has promised him that.
I'm a Simpsons fan!And Matt Groening is the best MAN!So its comedy,action and adventure.Who ever gives me a thumbs is not a SIMPSONS FAN!Old ones are good and and they still are.They have better drawings.
I am not answering your question because of the 10 points that u are going to give. but i just wanted to share my thoughts. I will have to agree with u about the Simpsons. But u have to realize that the Simpsons came out in 1990, i remember because i was in the second grade at the time. when the Simpson first came out, they said and did things that were just unheard of. in fact people were shocked that they could even have a Tv sitcom like the simpsons on air(during that era) . when the simpsons first came out, alot of the tv shows that were on the air, were in there last years of being on TV. Like for me as a 80`s kid i grew up with shows like, Knight rider, Star Trek the next generation, Facts of Life, 227, Out of this World, Who`s the Boss? and yes even The Cosby Show etc. even a show like Roseanne was nothing compared to the Simpsons. so when the simpsons came out , everyone watched the show to see what was it that Homer or Bart was going to say or do next, that`s why it became so popular. because all of the shows in the 80`s and some even in the early 90`s, still had that clean tv sitcom ness to it. but with the simpson now, they are kind of a "been there done that" tv show. even though i still think that they are still a little funny. but when u got so many shows like "Family Guy, Drawn together, South Park, American Dad, etc it is kind of hard, then to sit down and watch an episode of the Simpsons. it will alway be a classic, but to me it is time for them to retire.
The Simpsons have definitely lost their humor. Most of what they show are washed down versions of their earlier jokes and stories. They aren't funny anymore. But the movie did regain some of the old glory.
