1. did they ever reveal peter's/nathan's mother's power? - They haven't come right out and said it, but in interviews the execs and writers have said that we've seen Peter use her ability. This implies that the dream-walking ability he has (when he saw a vision of himself blowing up, and when he talked to Charles Deveaux) came from his mother.
2. does Kaitlyn (peter's gf) get stuck in the future or does peter changing the future effect her? - unknown. It's possible she's stuck in a parallel reality.
3. did Simone (peters dead gf) have powers since her dad was in the "company"? - if she did, she never knew about them and Peter didn't seem to have acquired anything from her. So probably not.
4. does adam (kensai) eventually die off in the tomb or what? - Unknown, but doubtful. David Anders is a series regular, and he's too good of a villain to waste. He's bound to get out eventually, or be rescued by someone.
5. what exactly is sylar (gabriel)'s power? - The writers call it Intuitive Aptitude. He can immediately understand complex systems, like the human brain, just by looking at them. They've been fuzzy on how this translates into rewiring his own brain or rewriting his own DNA to mimic other abilities, though. Maybe they'll tell us eventually.
6. can claire ever die since she had the same power as adam (kensai)? - Yes, if her brain is destroyed. In Five Years Gone Sylar managed to kill her.
7. why did nathan's wife and kids leave him? - He tried to tell his wife the truth - that he could fly and Peter also had powers. His mother told her that insanity ran in the family and he was crazy. She believed his mother and left him.
8. what exactly is niki's power? - Superhuman strength. She just also happens to have multiple personality disorder.
