What are they talking about this week on "All My Children," about the !

Question: I have not been watching the show but for a few months, and then only sporadically. But I know the character Greenly, and wonder what the ads are this week about a "REAL Greenly?" Is the current one pulling a scam and not really Greenly???? Or are they talking about a change in personality within the same actress/character? I will not be able to watch the show for the rest of the week. So.....please fill me in, briefly, on the history of this, and what they want us to anticipate.

the original actress that first played greenlee is coming back to the show. She left a few years ago to try to go prime time and movies.

When they wanted to being Greenlee's story line back she didn't want the job so they hired Sabine.

Now she wants the job so they fired Sabine for her.

To my mind they shouldn't say the Real Greenlee because who ever plays the role IS Greenlee. They should have said Original Greenlee.

The original actress is returning to take over the role of greenlee

Greenlee was originated by Rebecca Budig and she is returning to the show.

The Greenly that is on there now is not the original Greenly character. The person who always played Greenly is returning to the show!!!!!

when they say REAL that is just being rude they should have used original.

They are just hyping the return of Rebecca Budig. Rebecca left AMC for primetime but she wasn't able to get hired for anything besides a couple of tv guest spots, a couple of pilots that didn't get picked up, and a made for tv movie. She was on AMC as Greenlee for 6 years and it's really the only thing she's known for (besides being married to Bachelor Bob) so I guess that's why all the commercials say THE REAL GREENLEE is back instead of Rebecca Budig is back- people only know her as Greenlee.

Another actress has been playing Greenlee (Sabine Singh) and did a FINE job (she is why I started to watch) but the ratings are low and ABC thinks bringing Rebecca back is the answer. But a lot of fans are REALLY upset that Sabine has been so disrespected by ABC in all this-- she played the REAL Greenlee all these months and gave her heart to the show.

I don't think Rebecca Budig is worth the hype nor do I think it will pay off. One needs only to watch All My Children a few days to know that the writing is awful, the stories go at a snail's pace, and one actress who couldn't make it outside of daytime is NOT going to help the ratings for the long term. She's a good actress but she's not worth this hype & I don't think it's fair for ABC to put the future of AMC on her shoulders like they are.

The REAL Greenlee is the person that played that role first Rebecca Budwig I think thats her name. She will play her from now on after wednesday

The part of Greenlee was originated by Rebecca Budig, she left the show two years ago, to try her luck at other things, and when that didn't happen, became available again to play the part she originated. She will be coming back on Weds. and Sabine Singh will leave the role tomorrow.

Rebecca Budig originated the role of Greenlee. When she jumped ship and looked to greener pastures in L.A., Sabine Singh took over the role. Some of AMC's viewers/fans decided they didn't like Sabine, and made trouble. ABC in response, fired Sabine because Budig couldn't find work and wanted her old job back and ABC agreed. It sucks.
