How accurate is Gossip Girl? Does it cause stereotypes?!
Question: I live in NYC, and I always thought that Gossip Girl, the books and TV show, depicted my life pretty well. Does anyone else live in NYC and think so too? And for those of you who don't, what kind of stereotypes does imply to you?

i'm from georgia, yes, that state many many miles from you. but the stereotypes depicted in the show are ones that i have always thought of new york girls. first there's blair. totally prep and has a snooty attitude as well. then there's serena, better fashionista than blair, yet total opposites in the attitude department. don't get me wrong, i know that new york girls are nice, well, some of them. but also, georgia has it's own version of each of the girls too. like in high school, there was natalie. her father owned the local car dealership and they had money, but she was very sweet and didn't flaunt it. then there was paige. her parents were divorced and her dad had money. well she was a b*tch and flaunted her new cars and everything else. same scenerios, different states.
