Yes they are,,another person said that they had to stay because they have to be there for the final race,,,The final race ends up in the USA, So that's when they fly the ex-players out for the last race,,,and on Survivor they send everyone BUT the last 10 back home and those 10 stay because they are part of the council at every tribal council,,,then they all go home,watch the season and then everyone is flown to NEW YORK where they announce the winner (I think its NY,,,IT may be LA) It takes a few months after we have finished watching Survivor for anyone to know who wins,,,At least the players and viewers.
They can't be sent home immediately as they are all there to greet the winners when they actually finish the race
thye are sent back home at the next convient time and are required to be at the final check point.
They will be sent to a villa called 'The Elimination Station'..
