Yes this TV show was shown in the 70's it was called Black Sheep Squadron,
Loosely based on the memoirs of Major Greg "Pappy" Boyington who led one of the most famous Marine Corps fighter squadrons of World War 2: Fighting Squadron 214, nicknamed the "Black Sheep" squadron

That was like a million years ago!

"Baa Baa Black Sheep" or Black Sheep Squadron. TV Show about Marines fighting WWII.

Based on real life of Gregory Boyington who served as fighter pilot in the Unites States Marine Corps. Was awarded the TWO highest medal for valor.

And then a lot of the sub, like the guy Rick in Magnum PI was on the show.
It was a spring board for many. Hoss blocker for bonzana, his kid was on the show.

Was on NBC-Tv.
