Very funny.
When I first saw him I thought as you do. Boorish and pig ignorant. However, after a while I picked up the irony in his rantings and the fact that he is the antithesis of all he portrays. Nowadays allot of his act has lost its potency but I still laugh when he rants about foreigners but is a sad lonely landlord that only understands his pub and those around him.
He does a fantastic monologue about the countries of the world with a huge globe and reduces most of the worlds conflicts to the silly reasons why we all fight. Quite clever stuff actually. Of course dressed up in a bigoted idiot of a character.

Never heard of him. I think Bill Murray is brilliant though.

I found him funny as a comedy actor in "Time Gentlemen Please", but think his landlord character as a stand-up is a bit rubbish.

Problem is he only has one character and you see it once and you've seen the whole act.
I think he is funny, went and saw his latest stand-up at the London Palladium he was really good there
