How can you explain this?!
Question: i ordered a box set from amazon on tuesday, being impatient as ever i tried to watch an episode online yesterday from the series. But dont know why but it kept freezing on exactly the same point so i gave up. the boxset arrived today so i put the disc in my dvd player (bearing in mind this is a brand new disc and has never been watched before) and no start up screen comes on but instead it goes to the episode i was trying to watch online at the exact point it froze at and started playing from there???!!! how very strange. Coinsidence? what are the chances?or is there more to it? lol !

What series is it, and is it the first disc in the set? Some auto start, and if it's the first episode it would explain that much. As far as the freezing, it could be a result of the original recording when the series was put on DVD, such as an awkward section break or an abnormality in the original files. You could try calling the company for information and they may be able to tell you the reason or offer a solution.
b/c the dvd palyer has a feature that plays the disc " from last stop", and since it is the same dvd ( just a diff copy , of the exact same thing) , ur dvdv player can not tell it is a didd dvd. one timw i watched 1/2 a move, then got tired, went back tom it a few weeks later ( and i have watched other movies in the meantime), and it played right from where i took off
