So we have the writers' strike and then what?!
Question: Okay I am a film major at ASU and I know a lot about the film industry and the writers' strike. Now, I was wondering with all these amazing shows on hold (Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Ugly Betty)...what will happen with the strike? So Grey's Anatomy has one more episode to air...and it is off time till the strike is over...and this might most likely be that the next season will start next year. But the problem is, what if the writers don't come in terms until next year...will the strike keep going on? What makes people so sure that it will be all set for next TV season. God please end this strike, my respects to the writers, but come on, I need my weekly MerDer dosage!!!

The strike will go on until there is an agreement. February sweeps will probably be key (or May). The networks will be heading into sweeps month with mostly reality shows and without some of their blockbuster scripted programs. If the ratings are good, they'll use this as leverage against the WGA, citing it as 'proof' that people will watch unscripted programming and writers are irrelevant. If the ratings are bad, the WGA will have ammo to prove that writers are important.
i think anyone associated with films/TV series are hurting badly and will end up looking for work elsewhere -
naturally this will cause future problems.
