Why do carly and elizabeth hate each other?!
Question: It goes back to when Ric had Carly in the "safe room" His plan was to give Carly's baby to Elizabeth. Plus when Carly finally got out of Ric's grasp, Liz defended him at first.
Then it got worse when Jason and Liz became friends the first time around. Now that Carly knows about the baby, that being another hold onto Jason that Carly doesnt have, I expect the animosity to get much worse!

It has to be over Jason...Carly has to have her nose in everyone's business, and Elizabeth and Jason have been friends for years, but now that they are involved, well......Carly is jealous of any woman friendly or more so, with Jason..
Carly often states "I just do not like her!" a few years back Carly claimed that she was raped by Ric and Liz Called her on it and though it was indeed a lie, the point was that Liz did not believe her, Liz and Carly are a lot alike in many ways they go after what they want they will lie to whom ever to get there and that is something else that Carly can't stand but on the other hand one thing Carly isn't that most people cannot stand about like is the "Goodie two shoes" persona. on top of all this Jason has always had a thing for Liz and vice versa and Carly is snarky towards other females who are after Jason and now Jake is the Cherry on top.
I agree she usually just says "I dont like her", but it has to be becuase she feels threatened by her about Jason!!!
carly liked courtney, wasnt she carly's closest female friend. she wasnt snarky to courtney was she? y would she be cuz she had good reason to not like robin (leaking the secret of micheal) and sam (sleeping with sonny). and liz goes back to the rape thing and being a saintly, holier than thou, hypocrite. talk about an oxymoron. i agree that liz and carly are alot alike. liz and liason fans wont admit it but its true.
Liz is a lying whore and there is no reason to like her!! Carly is too nosy though!
Because years ago Jason had a thing for Liz and Carly has always had a thing for Jason. It is a jealousy thing.She can't have him so no one can, she is the same way with Sonny. Carly likes to call names and point fingers but I think it is because she realizes she will never be as good as Liz.
Mostly it's because of Jason. Carly has always felt that Jason deserves better than Liz but what she'll never admit is that no one is good enough for Jason except her.
A big contributing factor though is that when Rick locked a pregnant Carly in the safe room Liz covered for him. Of course Liz wasn't in on Rick's plan at first but she did eventually find out what was going on and she refused to testify against Rick. Since they were married the DA couldn't force her either so Rick got off. Carly almost miscarried Morgan during that whole fiasco so she really has it in for Liz. Especially since Liz is now the mother of Jason's son.
ya know i hve to agree its over jason. jason loves elizabeth and carly just cant stand it. i have never knew a guy that watchs GH. thats like my fav show. haha
It is mainly because Carly is Jealous of Liz. But when Liz was married to Ric she had a hard time believing that he was capable of the horrible things Sonny and Carly accused him of. Carly seems to forget that it was Liz who found her in the "panic room" and saved her. She also forgets that Liz has forgiven her for causing her 2nd miscarriage when she deliberately ran her off the road in her car.
Years ago, when Liz was first introduced, she was a little hellcat that I couldn't stand. Then she was raped. Lucky took care of her and she seemed to settle down quite a bit.
Years ago, when Carly was introduced, she was a little hellcat who broke up her mother's marriage by seducing her husband, got knocked up by AJ Quartermaine, lied about Michael's paternity, lied about being raped by Ric, lied about...oh the list is endless.
The point is that Liz and Carly are cut from the same cloth. It's not like Carly has ever needed a reason to hate anyone. She just chooses to hate people who remind her that the world doesn't revolve around her.
Liz has become smug, self-righteous and rationalizing ways for her to have her cake and eat it too. There is always a price to pay for what she wants. Unfortunately, it seems the price is being paid by those around her more than herself. I've always hated Carly, and I'm just sick of the damage Liz has caused due to her selfish actions, all the while playing the victim. At this point, I wish they would both just die.
