Does anyone care about American Idol starting again soon?!
Question: Personally, this show is past it's prime for me...I don't feel it's on the up and up at all...good singers get sent home while media clowns like Sanjaya hang around until the producers feel it's time for them to go...not interested at all anymore...what do you think? Am I way off base?

I never cared for the show since the beginning. I don't understand the appeal. For one, the show is very contradictory. You'd think a show with the title "American Idol" would have AMERICAN born judges! Nothing against people who aren't American. Ok, second you have people who are voting for "the cute one" instead of the one who actually has talent. Third, they make the losers sing. How wrong is that? "Here, let's remind viewers why they didn't vote for you. But, before we do that, let's show a video montage of happier times before we crushed your hopes and dreams". Haha ok! I think people voted for Sanjaya because they hate American Idol and they wanted to sabotage the show (I thought it was hilarious). I hope the same thing happens to the new season as well.

Nope, I think you're correct. The show hasn't been nearly as impressive over the last couple of seasons as it had been previously. When the whole Sanjaya thing happen, it discredited the show.
Not really, ever since they started the second season, I only watched the first few episodes cause they were so funny, but if the "good" singers are chosen already, then it gets boring....
The songs they sing are soooooooo boring....

Even though the singers have been worse each year (most of the time).....I think. but the frist few years of American Idol were good but I fell that it just gets boring after each year........most of the time. =]

Yeah see the whole joke about that show is that in the end its Americas favorite. Like America really knows who can sing, they think McDonalds makes the best cheeseburger......
Besides only 2 of those American idols have actually made it to a big point of superstar the rest just had a single or two to never be heard from again. I mean out of the 6 or so seasons how many winners can you name? Most people wont know many.
I Was actually in a department store the other day where Tyler or Taylor Hicks cd was on clearance for 3 dollars! There was nothing broken on it either and it was the full cd.
I agree with you. The winners put out one CD, then seem to disappear anyways.
I agree, but there is so much crap on t.v. that it will be what everyone is talking about because there is nothing else for people to watch. I miss good tv shows!!!
I just like the auditions because it is fun to watch the bad people, well it is also fun when you get to hear REALLY good singers that blow you away cause you don't see it coming!

I will watch the auditions and that will probably be it. I am so sick of Randy, Simon and Paula, sitting there making millions and acting like it is just a big waste of their time to be there.
