Do you think with the writers strike we should get some kick back on our cable b!

Question: after all NBC reportedly had to repay some of it's advertisers for not making there viewing quota, so why shouldn't we get something back... heck I'm paying 150 bucks a month to Time Warner for what not... game and reality shows?

Ya I understand there is always reruns but that's in the spring and summer time when it's warm outside and it stays light out longer so you can just go outside and enjoy it

Haha... I never thought about that. We should definitely have a cheaper bill if expenses are cheaper for broadcasters. The cable companies shouldn't be making money off of the strike - if that were the case, then the money would be ultimately coming out of our pockets. That would be fucked up.

No kidding! Except most of this strike effects network television which is free to us anyway.

Why should we get a refund or kick back from the cable companies? How is this their fault? The cable companies are still providing the same thing they always have...access to the television channels. They don't guarantee what the networks air on those channels. It's like when I subscribe to Showtime just so I can watch Weeds & Dexter. They're not on anymore because their season is already over, but I haven't yet canceled my service for that channel. Should the cable company give me my money back? If you don't like that there are fewer new episodes of scripted television on right now, cancel your cable. It's as simple as that.
