(Simpsons, King of the Hill, even South Park) which actually do make some strong social commentary points even though they are very much adult in theme and content and inappropriate for children, this show is just obnoxious and offensive with no point!!!

There are lots of people that like "Family Guy". If you don't like it or find it offensive there are buttons on your remote control that change the channel. Better yet use the red one that says power. Turn off the idiot box and read a book.

i like the movie and even like watch it sometimes but its so funny and even makes me laugh to watch it. i also watch it on my ipod player instead watching it on tv . well i also have the the family guy games boards , cards. my favorite comedies . its the best. if you hate it then you dont need to watch it you can even change the channel watch something else .
If the American public like the show, regardless of the few bad opinions that it gets it will stay on the air until people stop watching or the writers lose interest. But as I said, if the ratings are up, it stays.

Family Guy isn't for everyone, but it has a large following. It had already been cancelled once and one of the few shows that had enough support to actually be brought back. So I don't think they are going to take it off the air anytime soon.

Family Guy is one of the few comedies around that doesn't try and make a point or send a message, it just tries to be funny, and in my opinion it succeeds pretty damn well. You have to remember that people watch shows like this to escape from reality. My husband in particular HATES shows that are simply based on real life. C'mon, whats not funny about a talking baby constantly trying to kill his mother? It's hilarious! And just because these shows are animated does not mean they are for children. Even The Simpsons is not appropriate for children. There are plenty of good TV shows out there for the more straight-laced viewer, so it would be great if those people could just enjoy what is made for their interests and respect the fact that everyone is different and we all deserve to be able to whack the TV on after a hard day at work and watch something that truly entertains us. Stop complaining about shows you don't like and just enjoy the ones you do!
It failed, it was taken off the air. It went to DVD, a lot of people bought it. When executives realized there was now an audience for the show, they brought it back. As long as there is an audience for it, it will run. That's how it works.
I love Family Guy! It's even helps to bring my 19 year old Son & I closer. Every week, for years, we've watched it together and laughed our asses off at almost every episode. Great times! Great Show!
Taking it off the air because it's offensive to some would be taking censorship too far. I thought we were getting more tolerant of others views, and "Political Correctness" was becoming less of an issue. Boy was I wrong! Lighten up and let the people that watch the show enjoy it in peace. No more constant nagging in our ears please.
I use to hate that show and thought it was stupid. I never noticed when it was taken off the air. I caught a few of the new episodes and got attached to the shows comedy. I actually like it more than the Simpsons now - I never thought it would be possible. It can be low brow at times, but I love it's 80s references.

yes, at times it can be a litle crude but the entertainment on telivision in today's society there are alot of shows that are worth your time to complain about unlike this show.
nobody is asking you to watch the show.... so just leave it alone!
