I think he felt her pain or something like that b/c he DOES love her deep down. Max's adopted sister Kayla was raped as was his adopted neice Sami & so he might have a personal stake but lucky for him the perp. is dead already; an "unfortunate accident" Lol.
He IS the cutest guy currently since I never found Elvis hot b4 or after he RAPED Sammantha. I STILL miss Rex, Brady & the "old Shawn" :(.

I thought it was a great scene and I love that Max has matured. I still do not want Max and Stephanie together because of the family ties but I do agree that anyone would be lucky to have him.
I know I hate that she was raped, Max is so sweet and he has really grown up, He loves her it hurt him. I also want them together.
