Does anyone know exactly why soap operas are still on TV as opposed to all other!
Question: I hear the strike is now about dvd releases and since they don't put soaps or game shows for that matter, on dvd 's, is that why they r still going strong?

The soap operas have scripts written for many weeks or months in advance, so they weren't impacted by the writers strike. If it continues on for many more weeks, then they may begin to run out of written material.
