Where should i (a comedian) go to get discovered?!
Question: i am young..and not ready for a career...but..
i am a comedian, and i know for a fact that comedy will be my occupation :]
but i wonder where i should go to get discovered...
i am thinking about rainbow studios...
because SNL is broadcast there, and i could get a good start there, like many other comedians

Most comedians and even the greats that make it to SNL grind it out for years in comedy clubs and local comedy Troupes. The best way to get discovered is to get out and do your act. Go to local comedy clubs and get your start the connections there can lead to bigger and better comedy clubs and contacts. Hard work and dedication are what it is going to take to get discovered. Depends on where you live. I have a comedian friend who is a professional, go to a coffee house or something to see if they will take you.

Why bother? This question wasn't funny at all.
go and get an agent! make up a resume of what you have done before now including where you have preformed and what not. if you have never preformed in front of an audience...then you might want to get some more practicce! you dont need an agent they will just help you get more giigs and stuff! Have a brilliantly lovely day!
Do you perform now? I think you'd have a better chance of being "discovered" in bigger cities like New York or Chicago. Joining a comedy or improv troupe would be great to sharpen your skills and network. Try setting up a MySpace Comedian account and posting clips of yourself to build a fan base. Maybe even give Last Comic Standing a chance...you never know!
But what do I really know, I'm just a girl from Ohio who THINKS she's funny. :-)
