hmmm well it's a tough one. if you like comedy then the simpsons comes up tops, because it is very funny, and because there are loads of different seasons to enjoy. also, you can buy it on box set. if you are more into action, then i would say lost, because it is fast moving and action packed, and you can buy it on box set.

Well, the only show in the USA ever to be #1 for 5 seasons in a row was "ALL IN THE FAMILY" That fact plus the controversial topics & wicked humor from bigoted Archie & clueless but kind Edith give it the nod hands down. Mash would be a close second. Unlike Seinfeld which was a show about nothing which featured 4 unreedming egotists in all their manicness. The latter & unfunny Cosby show have to be 2 of the most overated shows ever?! As for dramas? I would have to say Law & Order & the X-Files.
