Question: It used to come on around 1996 and it was about a family living in oklahoma and the mother had long curly hair. That's really all I know about it but it's driving me crazy to not be able to remember what it was called. Can anyone help me???

I think the Mother had long curly hair from what I can remeber.
The websites I've looked at said the family in the show lived in Pyramid Corners, Oklahoma, so maybe this is the show that you are thinking of.

P.S. Trying to find this show has drove me crazy as well. I only remembered it was a show about a Mother with loads of kids and I remembered the name 'Ruth Ann' as well. I also think the tomboyish daughter [if there even was one] on the show played in a movie that aired on Disney once as well. In it, her character runs away from home or something.
P.P.S. If this is in fact the show you and I have both been going crazy over, I used to watch this on Disney when I was younger too. I'm 17.
