Charmed the show?!
Question: Hmm i started watching it recently. I borrowed the first and second season from my aunt. Now i have seen some of the later episodes and read up on things...i have to say i dont think i will be able to enjoy the series after ther third season getting rid of doherty seems like a dumb move...and it seems they changed the character personalities too much. Am i wrong on this?

i watched them all from blockbuster now my husband loves Doherty and he could not get into Rose MGowan at all.
However the show was good and she did not take over and they forgot Pru she was still there and Rose made her own dent in charmed through Page.
Give it a try there is a lot of shows that change and fans will not except it and miss out.
Maybe you will like it maybe you won't but at least you have looked at it before making a snap judgment on a character, show or actor/actress.

i don't know i watch it just for the nipple value,but i think better cause doherty has ugly ones! mcgowen has way better t its
they had to get rid of doherty. she was disrupting production.
When they killed off Pru, I was sure I wouldn't like the "new witch" Paige. But she grew on me; there are different things to like (and dislike) about her. And it was fun watching Piper jump into the big sister role and becoming so rigid and self-righteous. Besides, if you don't keep watching, you'll never get to meet Wyatt. And meeting Wyatt is a treat, indeed.
Shannon Doherty chose to leave the show and they killed off Prue. The show is actually much better without her. As for her replacement, Paige seems a little annoying during the fourth season, but as her powers and understanding of magic grow, she gets pretty awesome. Also, the ups and downs of the Piper/Leo and Pheobe/Cole relationships are definitely worth watching :) The characters have not changed personalities later on, they have just been maturing & having natural character development over the years...
I liked the show with Prue but it didn't get worse after she was killed off. It may have changed a bit but Rose McGowan was still good. I watched, and enjoyed it right up to the end.

It's worth it to keep watching. The cast evolves into pretty interesting witches..all kinds of new characters are coming, and, besides, don't you just LOVE Cole?

I think you are. I'm a bonafied Charmed addict, and while I love the early shows, Rose McGowan is awesome as well. I think it worked because she didn't try to become another Prue, it was a totally different character with a totally different personality.
