Questions about my favorite shows?!

Question: I already know some of the shows are airing:
Desperate Housewives is airing 6 January
Gossip Girl is airing 2 January
One Tree Hill is airing 8 January
Prison Break is airing 14 January
Lost is airing 31 January

1. Will they continue to air episodes every week after the original air date above?
2. What about “Heroes”?? When is it coming back??
According to imdb.com it’s still unknown
3. If this whole writers strike isn’t over... Which shows will get canceled and which will stay...
4. Is the writers strike going to end?

Thanks in advance :)

Desperate Housewives - The Jan 6 episode is the last new episode until the strike ends.

Gossip Girl has only has 2 new episodes left. That will be all until the strike ends.

One Tree Hill has 12 new episodes to air. They will air weekly until they run out.

Prison Break has 5 new episodes which will air weekly until they run out.

Lost will have 8 new episodes which will air weekly until they run out.

Heroes will most likely not be back until next season. They have already shown all of the completed episodes. Unless the strike ends soon, and I mean really soon, this season is most likely over.

It's difficult to stay which shows will get canceled. The strike could be seen as a blessing for some shows. Being that there is really nothing left to replace some of the low rated ones (October Road for example), they may be renewed for next season. The longer the strike lasts, the less time there is to develop new shows for next season.

From what I've read, there is no immediate end in sight for the strike. I read somewhere that talks may not even resume until February. I don't know 100% if that is still accurate though. Neither side wants to budge.

Not surprised the writers are on strike! At least the REAL soaps are on the air!
