I believe the answer your looking for here is no you dont hear the whole joke in english you only hear it in german, but the german they were speaking was nonsense german words mixed with real ones it doesnt make any sense.The german joke which wasnt as dangerous was 2 peanuts were walking down the strauss (road) and one was assaulted ,peanut. joke warfare was banned under the geneva convention.

A friend of mine successfully did this, but died laughing before he could tell anyone the joke.
