Technically yes, it is a drug because it alters your mind. Obviously it's a plant. And yes, inhaling any kind of smoke can be bad for you. That being said, it's effects on your actions and body is less harmful than alcohol (based on experience with both). How many times have you heard of someone overdosing on only marijuana? Sometimes the benefits of weed outweigh the risks associated with it... I mean, we've all heard of medicinal marijuana. In my opinion pot should be legalized. If the same restrictions are put on it that are on alcohol, minors would have more limited access to it. Also, the taxes placed on it could decrease the national deficit, not to mention the amount of money we would save housing "criminals" that were caught with a joint. Everyone likes to believe that marijuana fries your brain cells... yet I find myself (a daily smoker) to be more articulate than a lot of these people speaking out against it.

It is a drug - active chemical THC . Plant yes - Marijuana Sativa ususually . Bad depends on your own viewpoint.
It can not kill you - but don't combine it with driving .
It slows down your body - it can hype you up , make you hungry , make you giggly, make you feel self conscious or more in tune with the inner workings of others thoughts. I find I can tell if people are being fake or lying to me better under the influence of marijuana.It can make some people prone to panic and paranoia.
