For me, I haven't watched many, so I don't know of any awful ones (I've heard Terry and June is pretty bad, though). Father Ted is without question my favourite sitcom, though.

Farther Ted was Brill, Porridge and Dad Army are classics
The best is Birds of a Feather
The worst is I can't remember the name but it had him from Father Ted in it and he was some sort of Alien, where his girlfriend was a nurse and they had a baby { that's gonna bug me know}
terry and june was funny,i loved not going out with lee mack,father ted was hilarious but my fave has to be only fools and horses
Red Dwarf was excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only Fools and Horses was basically the same joke done week in week out, as was Last Of The Summer Wine (you can only put an old tramp in a bath going downhill so many times).
Best sitcom Bilko, MASH, Father Ted, Black Books, Spaced, and presently IT crowd.
My faves are friends and sex and the city :)
Oh and i really love the mighty boosh though thats not really a sitcom lol

The one Elle is looking for is My Hero - it was absolute cr*p, and the talking baby freaked me out!! I liked Phoenix Nights, but thought the follow up, Max and Paddy's road to nowhere, was rubbish. Just a personal opinion.........
much as I hate to say this , that in this one aspect America beats britain hands down. The best american sitcoms run rings around most of the britcom drivvle which seems to be churned out by the same awful oiks year in year out
Is it Called My Family with Robert Lindsey and Zoe Wannamaker the latter, I cant stand the look of her ,Terry and June was lovely But strictly of its time and wouldnt work now ,The Same with Bless this house .I adored Butterflies ,with Wendy Craig and a young Nick Lyndhurst,Dident like the way the writer stamped her Vegetarianism on her Writing though re Bread and I think she wrote The Liver Birds ,They would have been perfect if not for that,I think her name is Carla Lane .Re the last answer they dont make them these days like they used to ,I find American ones boring ,Different way of life ,
Reba is plain dreadful....my favorite ever is Everybody Loves Raymond.
I despised My Family too, along with My Hero and Birds of a Feather.
I did like The Young Ones, if it can be classified as a sitcom!
