Why doesn't Quark...? A Deep Space Nine Question.?!
Question: Just got through the first season of ST:DSN, Duet has been the best episode so far. Anyway, who doesn't Quark wear that thing on his head like the other Ferengi? I did a search and the only info I found about it was less than helpful.

I always thought the headdress was a more formal garment, worn by high-ranking officials, dignitaries, etc., or by average Ferengi in formal situations (maybe analogous to a human necktie). Quark's environment is more informal, so maybe that's why he doesn't wear it.
Good question even if I don't know the answer. I've got every episode of every Star Trek series and I don't have a clue.
i've got it in my head that he's been exiled from fereginar? but then that doesn't explain why rom wears one =\ hmm....
