Question: did anyone else see tonights robin hood on bbc1 and cry when guy killed marion?! i can't believe they could kill robins true love...they were supposed to live happily! i am so depressed now!!!!!

I watched it and I'm devastated. I'm still in shock. I actually cried when I watched that because I've waiting for so long for Robin & Marian to get married but I never expected for them to get married and then for Marian to die. They never even got to spend any time together. I hate the Sheriff! I hate Gisborne!!!!! And I hate the BBC! I hope Robin makes Gisborne suffer. Personally I would have liked for the end to be where Robin kills Gisborne, preventing him from killling Marian. Gisborne killed her because "If he couldn't have her then no one else could." It was when she said that she loved Robin. I could see Gisborne getting angrier. How is there going to be a 3rd series now? I always thought that Marian would be in the 3rd series. I didn't know Lucy Griffiths was leaving the show. Marian was my favorite and her and Robin's relationship was just getting interesting. How is Robin going to be able to keep fighting now? He said that Marian was the only reason that he was strong enought to fight. It was there love that made then strong. I think the BBC have made a HUGE mistake. She died once and came back but she must be dead this time.
I didn't cry, but i saw it. So, i take it they're only doing 2 series? It's nothing without Mariam, unless she comes back which she has already done once.. I know, i was expecting them to live happily ever after. It's very depressing.

I was a complete wreck. I dunno what they are going to do in series 3 - perhaps she never died and as we only saw robin lay her on the sand, she could have been waiting while they said goodbye and they just missed that bit out... This is just me trying to keep her alive. And djaq and will! I could see it coming but now they are going to stay. I am so upset.
Someone else on another board said they had heard she was signed for a 3rd series, but I can't vouch for it.
I think if they've killed her this time, I am afraid she should stay dead. It would be too hokey and far fetched otherwise.
A shame in a way--I thought this sort of weird toing-and-froing between Gisburne & Robin was one of the more interesting ideas. She seemed like she genuinely had some affection for Guy;she didn't love him, but genuinely wanted to redeem him,perhaps even felt sorry for the man he had become.
I think unfortunately the writers really weren't the best at handling scripts for large ensemble casts and that is why they have started paring some characters down. After the first few eps, Harry Lloyd just didn't get a lot of screen time for one. Many characters had one episode of glory then just became a shadowy figure in the background.Or they'd introduce a new character to kill him almost immediately.
