The contract for Futurama was bought by Comedy Central. Starting Jan. 2, it will be airing on Comedy Central. They will be showing it quite a bit, I believe it's 3 episodes a day!!! Futurama was actually cancelled 4 years ago, when it was on Fox. Cartoon Network bought syndication rights, and began airing it.
In Nov, Bender's Big Score was released. A full length movie from Futurama. They are making 4 of these straight to DVD movies, then later in 2008, breaking them into half hour episodes and airing them on Comedy Central. IMDB has all the movie titles, but no word on release dates yet for the remaining 3.

The show gets great ratings so it would be a stupid move to cancel the show.
it got cancelled a while ago but because of the huge fan amount and demand for the show to be back on the air, they're continuing Family Guy.
I'm not sure, there was a similar marathon of Futurama a few days ago. Maybe Adult Swim is canceling?
I hope so, that show's so annoying! I don't see how people can stand watching any of that trash! It's so pointless and is a bore! Who needs it? Along with myspace, how stuipid! I'm sick of hearing about those kind of things! What happened to Disney?

there NOT getting rid of it. Family guy is one of there top rated shows! They actually play marathons of shows (top rated shows) in order to attract people to there channel witch gives them more money. ( More people watching= More money making)
Better rated show= more viewers.

that's a good question, but the answer is no. adult swim makes wayyyy to much money off of their family guy episodes, so they would be shooting themselves in the foot if they dropped the program. as to their statement...well....you know how adult swim is. they are just silly. :-)
