H e had a really serious stroke in the summer and will be out of the show for at least a year or more becasue it affected him really bad he is only just getting his speech back.
I asked this question a few weeks back lol.

he has had a stroke in real life, which they have also written into the storylines. depends on whether the actor returns, whether they do anything more with the storyline!
In real life he had a stroke.. so they had to make an excuse within the story line..

He suffered a stroke...i just read in the newspaper that he is on the mend, and took a few footsteps.

i heard that he actually had a heart attack in real life, but if comes back brown we know hes been on holiday.
he recovering from a stroke not sure if he will come back as his health is not the best after this recent stroke don,t no what the plans are for eastender i guess they are waiting to see if he will return but i dealt it
he had a stroke 6 months ago he's just managed to take a few steps i don't think he'll be back. but i hope he is i love his on screen moments with dot classic:-)
sadly in real life he died a month or 2 ago
