I doubt it will ever be as big as it was, but I do think HBO can make a bit of a comeback. I don't think the upcoming vampire series they have will do it though. I can only think of one good show it has now - Big Love. Entourage has the buzz on HBO but the ratings really aren't that great.
Showtime is stealing HBO's thunder - Dexter, Weeds, The L Word, The Tudors. While none of these are huge runaway hits like HBO has had in the past, they are all drawing great numbers for Showtime. Dexter hit an all time high for Showtime for it's season two finale and I think next season it could break out even more.
not till they bring back Fraggel Rock!!
