it was harmless good fun but the tv show seems to be trying to make it believeable(money&love),keep away from the reality stuff and get to the really good stuff.

No you are not alone. It was a pile of garbage. Kylie wasn't particularly good, the story was awful, there was no "edge of the seat" stuff, no scary monsters, nothing. It was the worst episode that David Tennant has done so far, by a long way.
The trailers for the next series look pretty bad too with Catherine 'One-Character' Tate hamming it up in every scene she is in.
