Different actors/actresses bring different things to the table.
You are right though, 'white sitcoms' like Reba, have stupid corny jokes, but there are some good ones. I loved Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and The Cosby Show, but I also loved Friends, Seinfield, and Everybody Loves Raymond. It depends alot on the quality of writing and acting.
I do think writers use the color of the actors and make the show stereotypable. White-corny jokes Black-dirty

No, the black sitcoms that I've seen really only seem to be about potty humor, which gets old quickly.

It depends... I liked Friends, my Wife and Kids, Two and a half men, Girlfriends, The Prince of Bel-Air, Seinfeld... so it's diverse for me.. it's not about the color of the actors.. it's about their script..as long as they make me laugh, I'm watching it!

it depends on the show!!! there are some white and black shows that are funny then there are some black and white shows that are just too silly and too stupid-examples: Mad TV,Girlfriends,House of Payne,My Name is Earl,The Office,SNL(hasnt been funny since Chris Farley years),and so many others!!!
