Question: When I watch it on TV, it is narrated by a woman.
But I got the season for Christmas and its this dude talking.
I don't like his accent and it really kills the peaceful energy of the show. What is the deal here?

It sounds like you got the BBC version, which is narrated by David Attenborough. The Discovery Channel version is narrated by Sigourney Weaver, and that's the version you saw on TV.
