Question: Has it been announced that he is leaving GH?I saw today where he is getting surgery & it appeared he was dying. I havent had a chance to watch GH lately & need some serious catching up. Thanks.

No. he has a sweet job....he works 9 months and gets summers off. I heard he just signed a new contract.

No, he has it made at GH. He gets to take a number of vacations each year and can do other things if he likes.
LOL I love it when people think this. As a fan of this show for nearly40 years I can tell you that if and when Luke (and therefore Geary) ever leaves the show then the show itself will fold.
I firmly believe that when the times comes and GH is canceled, Tony Geary will be the one who turns off the last light at the hospital, turns to the audience and says "It's been a hell of a ride. Bye folks"
Never, he works 9 days a year and gets the rest off as paid vacation.
