i do not think that Q met kirt at any time outside the books. and im not sure about the books....but i have an inkling that i might have read that.
The very first episode of second generation Star Trek had Q in it. I do not remember anytime that Q met Captain Kirk.. The reason, I think, was that the original Star Trek was to be more based on science and the future possibilities. Q was more of a spiritual character than one made up from anything involving science..That first episode turned me off to watching the Next Generation Star Trek. I still enjoy reruns of the original!
