NBC writers strike?!?!?!
Question: i hope it only last's until January!! I LOVE HEROES!! and CHUCK!!! i can't live without those shows!! i hope they won't cancel these shows...pretty soon there will be a VIEWERS strike!! what's up??

First off, don't worry, the shows won't be cancelled unless their is a huge drop in viewers. Both "Heroes" and "Chuck" had been getting pretty decent ratings, so unless millions of people just stop watching once they come back on the air, they won't be canceled. Secondly, there is no telling how long the strike can last. Some late night shows (Conan, Leno, Jimmy Kimmel) are coming back in early January without their writers and awards shows like the People's Choice Awards had to completely change its format because they had no writers to write for them. So, it looks like early January will still be without the writers. They seem to be sticking pretty strong to their wants (and who can blame them), so until their desires are met, they will likely continue to strike. Until then, I guess we'll all have to enjoy a season full of re-runs...
Money, money and more money. These writers make more money than most Americans and they want more. I say, stop watching. Some one will have to break.
Contrary to the above poster, the writers don't make a crateload of money. And all they're asking for is payment for the work they do that is broadcast on electronic media (i.e. the internet).
And unfortunately, management is being completely recalcitrant; looks like talks won't resume until February.
Add: From the WGA--"The median income of screen and television writers from their guild-covered employment is $5,000 a year, in part because almost half our members don't work in any given year."
I agree with you!!!! I've started watching other shows that I never watched before because I'm sick of all the reruns!!! If they don't get their shi* together soon ,,,some of us viewers will be hooked on NEW shows and not go back to their shows that we thought we couldn't live without!!!
