Lol, startrek is the best, and doesn't seem huge when you watch it, each episode is a new story and so you don't need to watch in order or even know the characters, I think other than that.. taken, it only lasted 20 episodes, each 2 hours long, other than that stargate sg1, then atlantis..

Sherrie, I Think You're Better Off Watching A Sci-Fi Mini Series Or A Show That's Not Gonna Go For 20 Seasons, Look Into Some HBO Or Showtime Series,(Higher Quality Storyline, Performances, Production Values) There's 1 HBO Show Called "Carnivale" It's Only 2 Seasons Short I Know It's Not Sci/Fi, But I Heard It's Pretty Good And There's Another Series By Neil Gaiman Called "Neverwhere" It Came Out A Few Years Back It's In A DVD Boxed Set Now (Saw It At Best Buy) But Heard Lots Of Buzz For That One, Might Wanna Sheck It Out.

heroes good but if you want something else smallville is scifi and it has alot of action and it is about superman when he was younger.the best charater is chloe though.
It depends upon what you're looking for. Babylon 5, Farscape, and Battlestar Galactica (the new one) are all good serialized science fiction. The Stargates are good if you prefer lighter shows with more standalone episodes. Early seasons of the X-Files were good, but it fell apart after a few years. Lost and Heroes are both tinged with sci-fi and good shows. Ditto for Pushing Daisies. But for the most part SF shows just don't survive more than a season or two, if that. There aren't a lot of choices.
