When is 'LOST' returning to our screens? It's been off for ages!? (U!

Question: The show, along with many others, was on hold due to a writer's strike.

Season 4 here in the US starts Jan 31, 2008. That should give you a time frame when to expect it to hit UK.

You're not going to like the answer but the easiest way to put it is how long is a piece of string? With the WGA strikes still in full swing I think Lost is another one of the shows that has fallen slightly foul of it and production for now has been put on hold so all we can really do is sit and wait and hope that LOST's network don't decide that due to the writers strike they'll can the show totally.

I think our labour Government have lost the tapes, sorry

Blame the studios for refusing to negotiate with the writers. The studios want to use the writers' work for free on the internet, among other abuses. It is unjust, and most of us here in Los Angeles totally support and respect the writers' position. You are without :"Lost" but they are without work for Christmas. And things could get worse. The actors' contract negotiations are coming up soon, against the same unconscionable fat cats.

Ive lost interest, i was amazed by the first series and thought we could have something truly original on our hands - since then it's success has caused it to be hijacked by big money TV so the regular brit can buy sky or go screw, and on top of that the originally planned story of a few series had been so utterly extended that we'll probably be dead before enought episodes to know what the hell is going on have been shown. I'm not too interested in 3 extra series worth of fleshing out deliberately added extra characters - someone's being milked for cash somewhere and UK terrestrial users are sucking on it.

shame.

p.s the 'strikes' make bugger all difference to 'C4' viewers.

when season 3 ended the narrater on sky one said it will be back in the new year. I presume February since US get it first. Other shows have stopped half way through now, not because of the Writers strike but because of christmas (in the UK). For example stargate atlantis concludes in january and 24 starts again (feb time) and so does Lost s4.

Cant wait!!!

It returns to the US at the end of January and considering season three was shown at pretty much the same time both in the UK and US I would expect season 4 to be the same.

I read somewhere online yesterday that 8 of the 16 planned episodes for s4 are ready to go. the other 8 will depend on the writers strike.
