Does anyone think Katherine Jenkins ruined Rhydian's chances last night with!
Question: They put a female opera singer and a classically trained singer together. The key they used was suited to her voice and not his.
It did not work, it did not feel natural.
Rhydian had deep tonal voice which can give me goose bumps , Katherine Jenkins is shrill and made me want to reach for the ear plugs.
But at least, on the bright side, Rhydian is free to choose the contract he wants, rather than be restricted by Cowell. I hope he chooses to go with Lloyd Weber and play the phantom. I'd be first in line to get tickets.

Rubbish, Rhydian was great and she has an amazing voice, Leon winning is a big injustice and makes a mockery out of the show.....

i think the finals should have been about the contestants and not the already famous...it sort of takes the shine off the ones who want to make it...i didn't see the show last night but i heard that Leon won...Rhydian should have won.....but without Katherine
I nearly jumped out of my skin when she opened her mouth. She ruined Rhydian's chances, totally inappropriate choice of singing partner, also Rhydian's song choices were a bit odd for the final.

Well Rhydian's voice does lean towards classical (think Josh Groban) and Katherine Jenkins in an opera singer, so the idea was good. Unfortunately, she over powered him in that song.
I feel that many voters - remember that many of them are youngsters - will have voted for Same Difference or Leon because he sang with well known pop stars (Kylie & Jason Donovan).
Also, in the first round of Christmas songs, it wasn't fair on Rhdian that he sang a Carol (albeit a beautiful one which suited his voice) - whilst the other two sang much more popular Christmas songs.
I feel Rhydian was robbed, but I think he has a great future ahead of him, maybe in the West End.
I did they didn't compliment each others voices at all.
think about it tho. have you ever seen the winner release more than one album?? no. the runner up always wins. rhyd will be on stage soon hopefully playing phantom of the opera all while leon will be picking the fluff from between his toes wondering why he is a failiure.

However although I am not a fan of Rhidian I think he should have won the show his Somewhere was lovely, for the life of me I cannot see anything in leon to get exited about, I think Ray last year was far better and could dance as well, but there you go I really liked Hope if they had been given better songs who knows.

Katherine Jenkins is a "pop-Soprano". She would be blasted off the stage by the majority of professional concert sopranos and real opera singers out there.
She's a good singer but not spectacular. She's better than Charlotte Church although thats not hard. A tone deaf tomcat is better than Charlotte Church.
No way she has a lovely voice she had the more powerful voice and i think that was what ruined the song as her voice took over his by a mile
That song was terrible and she over powered his voice. They definitely didn't suit each other but Leon out sang him in every song last night not just that one so we cant just blame her.
