The reason it is rated TV-MA is because of the violence factor. It has simulated animated violence depicting death. The subject matter of death and killing and the way it is portrayed on "Death Note" is considered to graphic for young children. It's just a way of making sure parents know that Death Note is not a "kiddie" cartoon like pokemon for example.
i love death note! i think its absolutely great. i think its rated like this. well i dunno really but yh its such a great thing, have you read the manga?
Its rated TV-MA, cause of the language and the fact death does happen. Plus the other reason it is like that...is because it is on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network.
