Law and Order Criminal Intent - Why doesn't anyone like this one, vs LO and !
Question: I love Criminal Intent, but nothing can beat the original.
Sam Waterston as Jack McCoy is amazing. His character is intriguing. I like how the show focuses more on cases rather than the personal lives of the main characters. You get a hint of what makes them 'tick', but in the end, it's all about their jobs.
There has always been an amazing cast to back it up--Jerry Orbach as Detective Briscoe was my favorite.
Criminal Intent is more psychological. You get into the mind of the killer. I love watching the detectives solve their cases. Vincent D'Onofrio is a great actor and he does a good job of portraying his character.
In my opinion, this show was less popular than the other two because it's more of a "thinking man's show." People like watching action, comedy, or love/sex. Psychological intrigue isn't as popular.
SVU is my least favorite, but the most popular. I never really got into the show, but it always seemed more 'commercial' than the other two. More focused on strange cases, sometimes sexual. People like weird stuff. It is like the...MTV version of Law and Order.
I was very sad to hear that the original got pushed off the regular schedule while SVU is still going strong. It pales in comparison.

The tall guy on CI is outta his mind
i love that one its my favorite of lo. when it moved to usa it broke my heart. i don't get cable channels anymore. i think vincent is a talented actor.
OHHH not I love them all! I think the reason people are turned off by CI is that Goren has some pretty strange ticks. Like the head tilt thing and the fact that he knows everything, thats just weird. My hubby says that Eams, the female detective looks like Benji and that is why he does not like it. I still see Goren and think of that role he played in full meatal jacket, remember Gomer Pile the one that shot the drill sgt. in the bathroom and then shot himself? Ya hes a creepy guy. But i love the show with him. Not as much though when Logan is on there, hes just a little boreing, oh and the DA and the Capt. are boreing too. The cast is not as sexy, maybe that ahs something to do with it too. BLAH BLAH BLAH right? sorry.
i love law and order criminal intent, goren and eames are a good team cause eames knows what goren is thinking sometimes, and vincent is lovely and i wouldn't kick him out of bed.
CI is my fave...I don't get it either.

I don't like CI because they usually tell you too much of the story right off the bat, and then the detectives just miraculously come up with answers that normal people just wouldn't know.
SVU is more feasible, and I like Olivia & Eliot and how their personal stories are tied into the plot.
