Lost TV series question?!

Question: Can anyone tell me if its worth it to watch Lost? I have been hearing about it for years now, and I just want to know is it worth the investment to watch them? I usually make it a point to not watch non-satellite TV programs, so I never got around to viewing it yet. Plus if I want to get up to speed on the story I would have to buy the DVDs, which cost alot. So is it worth it to watch?

Depends what you like in your television shows. If you like a great mystery that's wrapped up in science, metaphysics, religion and philosophy, and an intriguing cast of characters, then Lost should do it for you. This isn't a straightforward show and after three seasons we regular viewers are only a little closer to solving what the Island is all about. If you like shows that are wrapped up nicely in an hour or less, then you're going to hate Lost. If you don't like shows that leave you with more questions than answers, you're going to hate Lost. Give it a try. Rent the first few dvds and if you find yourself hooked, then buy the series. Remember, Lost is one of these shows that you may need to watch two or three times through every episode because there are always hidden clues and easter eggs dropped in that you won't catch the first time.

yes

i would say yes because i am a HUGE fan of the show, but really its up to you if you want to invest the money on the dvd's. do you know anybody who you could borrow them from?

No, I watched the first series faithfully and then never bothered watching it after it went to the Sky channel, I then hired the DVD and it was just boring, too many unanswered questions, just rubbish.

omg it is abso brill!!! not only is it an amazin story line but they end each episode in a way that you just have 2 watch the next 1 2 see wat happened!!

Yes, personally I am glued to the show, great writing and each show ends with a huge cliff hanger that makes you wanting more. It would be worth getting up to speed, rather than buy the DVDs, it would probably make more financial sense to rent via blockbuster or netflix.

I am with you... the story is they were lost...
The truth is they were actors.
The bigger truth is... why should I give a damn.

lost is one of the best series around at the moment. it pulls you in from the first episode. my boyfriends sister didnt watch it to begin with and managed to catch up halfway through series 1...she had to go out and buy the boxset because she loved it so much!!! i would probably wait until after xmas tho because chances are u will get it cheaper in the sales :) happy viewing!!

buy the DVD's... its fun

Yes...Lost is worth the money....The creator of Lost is called J.J Abrahms....A new movie is coming out made by him...its called Cloverfield....Back to the topic, Lost is soo worth the money...Enjoy ! XD

oh my god ya.. best show in ages! rent the DVDs instead of buying them.. give season 1 a shot and I guarantee you will be hooked! If you start now, you could finish by the time this season starts!

I got hooked in the first episode. So I recommend it its addicting.

MaggieH's response pretty well sums up anything I would have said. I too would suggest trying to rent the first few episodes. I have watched each episode when it was broadcast and then bought the seasons as they were released on dvd.

its totally work it, just watch it on abc.com its free. its kindof confusing but you'll catch on.

don't waste your time....time is precious....go see the world or something...
