Anyone see Maury Povich yesterday 12-12. I was so appalled!?!
Question: There were these 14-15 year old girls getting plastic surgery and their parents were supporting it. The audience was all cheering for them. Does anyone else think this is so close to child abuse its not even funny??!! What message are we giving to our kids? I would tell them you have to work on your inside first. Your body is still growing and changing! When you are 18 and pay for it yourself then that is your choice!

it was APPALLING!!! i couldn't believe that esp the girl whose mother agreed with her getting the boob job and lipo. that girls boobs were HUGE!!! instead of teaching their kids to deal with criticism, suck it up, get some self esteem, they co-signed on some ridiculous plastic surgery...its almost like the parents were living through their children because they seemed to have self-esteem/self-image issues too...
All of those types of shows are geared towards the mentally deficient. If you want decent programing, you have to turn off the crap.

AGREE>>>> but I'm Appalled by all of Maury's shows!!! He use to be so good then he started following Jerry Springer and all the other Sleazy shows and I quit watching!!!! BUT yes, these parents who let their daughters have all of this vanity surgery need to SAY NO!!! it would be one thing if they had the plastic surgery to correct something that was obvious to other people like a big mole on their face,,,but to give them Big Boobs and liposuction because they feel flat and fat is crazy,,I think a lot of these moms are allowing it because its something THEY would have wanted as a teen!!! ((trying to re-live their life through their daughters))
i didnt see it but if it was reconstructive surgery from an accident than i approve, but if it was nose and boob jobs than i dont
