Why does AMericas Funniest Home Videos always pick the least funny videos?!
Question: There's a lot of censorship as to what they'll show and what they won't. This is why you see the same lame videos over n' over; sure they're technically different people, but same situations. Cats and dogs looking silly, kid accidentally hits dad in the crotch, etc.
There's rules as in, the person can't be really seriously injured if it's an injury. But then there's subjectiveness of censorship. Case in point: Bob Saget's favorite clip was one that was never aired. Someone was filming a monkey at a zoo. The monkey sticks a finger on his butt and digs a bit - had a bad itch, it looks like. The monkey removes the finger, sticks it up to his nose, and immediately rolls his eyes and falls backwards off the branch, as if the smell made him pass out. It's classic. It's amusing. And had Saget not shown it on a late-night talk show years ago (I think it was Conan), we would never have known about it. Sad.

I would have to agree with you on this one. It's cause they are lame!
The lamest vids and writers for the show. Probably due to the fact that it is probably run by a bunch mod right-wing conservatives who want to keep "wholesome family values" alive. I think it is rated highly in Utah.

I agree. I saw one before that a kid put his mouse on top of the cage while they were outside, and an owl swooped down and took it. I did not find that even a little bit funny. I don't even watch that show anymore it just is not funny. Some epps. I did laugh at but they rarely show anything funny.
I've wondered about that too. I've given up watching the show now because they always pick the dumb one when the really funny win should have won by a landslide.
