Question: What has happened to Jim Branning in Eastenders? He hasn't been in it for months. Is he coming back into or not?

Unfortunately he's very ill, he had a strke in real life, so they have made it look like he had a stroke in Eastenders too that's why Dot has been away to see him, i felt sad for her in Eastencers last night because everyone is happy and theres poor Dot o her own.... but in real life his health is not good, bless him, i hope he recovers fast....
lol she likes the odd sherry or 2 now and then.....i a not sure if he's (jim) is gonna come back to Eastenders, but i hope he does, poor Dot needs him for Christmas...bless her...thankyou...x Report It

    still on sick leave.
    he had a stroke in June in real life and is still recovering! i heard he's doing some charity work aswell for people who had strokes. he's due to go back to eastenders soon...not too sure when though!
    Jim was written out of the show in August 2007 due to Bardon suffering a stroke. A storyline was created that Jim also suffered a stroke, in case Bardon decides to return to the show, however, there is no confirmation that the character of Jim will ever return to the soap.
    he's had a stroke in real life, but is making a good recovery!
