What origin is Fez from That 70's Show?!

Question: he's really not supposed to be from any particular country. His accent is supposed to be non-specific. and remember the name "Fez" is an acronym for "foreign exchange student."

This question was asked of the staff on one of those interview shows a few years ago. This was the answer given.

peru

Amazonian

Actually that is the running joke. They never say. FES=foreign exchange student.

His secret country of origin is one of the longest running gags on the show.

Although there's no definitive answer, it would make sense that Fez is actually from Indonesia, Netherlands Antilles, or Sri Lanka due to the description of an island which has been ruled by both the British and the Dutch (Manhattan is also possible, however unlikely).

We never find out. I went to a taping of the show during the last season and the actor who plays Fes said that we would eventually find out what country he came from during the last season, but as far as I know, they never said. They might have changed their minds about it, or that was just a way of getting us to watch all the episodes of the last season.

you can tell he is from Mexico

i can't tell for sure; maybe if i knew his name...

Never said it...
