The song is from the 1945 musical Carousel. It was bugger all to do with ANY football club until the Sixties when Liverpool fans adopted it as their anthem. Then other clubs copy-catted that.

Football should never be able to claim a song, so if he does, the people he has lost are pathetic. Its a game with a couple dozen pansies running around on a field, hugging and doing stupid acting when they claim to be injured. Stick 'em in a game of Shinty, thats what I say.
