My daughter likes him and she is a singer! She thinks he is funny! I can't believe it. If she sang for him, I am sure he would just crush her into the ground. Not because she isn't good but because he doesn't have a nice thing to say about anyone. My daughter has a wonderful voice. (and that is not just the mom talking, she has actually won some contests! - But yes,the mom in me is bragging)
His "constructive criticism" could be offered up in a more diplomatic manner and he could try to be a little less offensive. However (sadly) these days, that isn't what the public wants. I think American Idol is comparative to the old days when they used to toss people to the lions for sport. Everyone seems to like a good bloodbath. (Literal or Figuratively)
