The dramatic end to Heroes 1st Volume?!

Question: Would somebody please explain how Niki and Hiro were together able to kill Sylar, when most of the others had failed miserably? Thanks in anticipation

Well, if you saw any of Volume Two you'd know Sylar wasn't quite dead...he was dragged off into the sewers. It gets gnarly from there though as the quality of *writing* for the show really *really* nose-dived recently. The actors did the best they could--but a lot of what happened with Sylar after Volume One just *doesn't* make a whole lot of sense, and that seems to be by design.

As for the final fight at the end of Volume One, what you have to understand is that it wasn't *just* Niki and Hiro. It was damned near everybody and Sylar was distracted, at first by the crowd, and then by Peter's showing up (since he was going to be the exploding man and not Sylar). And since Sylar's primary "weapon" is his telekinesis, and he has to concentrate to use it, you could reasonably say he had his hands full dealing with Matt Parkman's shooting at him, ranting at Peter, the works.

Plus, Sylar had never *met* Niki previously. He may have known she was different, but he didn't know exactly what this hot blonde chick could do to him until she was on top of him beating his face in.

But yeah....basically, it was a case of Sylar's being surrounded by a crowd and being too distracted to be effective against any *one* of his enemies.

And then, after he rants at Peter....that "silly man" shows up. That's the kicker, Sylar never did take Hiro seriously. And at that point he'd been punched in the face a few times by both Niki and Peter (mimicking Niki). Odds are it took him a while to get his wits together--he did fling Hiro into the building after all.

Or, you could just say that Sylar wasn't his usual self after seeing his mother die at his hands. Meaning, yes, he was still crazy and dangerous, but was *not* focused at all.

Take your pick. ^_^ And pray that the writers get it *together* for Volume Three, dear gawd....did Volume Two *stink* in comparison to Volume One.

Just my take on it. -_- Thanks for your time....

I don't think they did kill him, we will have to wait and see, It was more of a combination of so many them being around at the same time, Hiro proved he was faster than Sylar and was painted as stabbing Sylar with the sword in the future, Niki just discovered she had it in her to fight herself. I knew the end would be a little disappointing but can't wait till next series!!

niki knocked sylar out for a bit and hiro stabbed sylar but sylar like telekenised him to the wall and hiro teleported in midair going to 17 century japan

well after peter used nikki's power on sylar he was weak so he could not realy protect himself againts hiro's stab, but im not shure how then when peter asked hiro to kill him he got threw away by sylar!

They didn't kill him. If you notice at the end of end of the episode Sylar is no longer laying there dead. Also the second season just ended and he was in every episode!

I agree totally with Bradley P, i couldn't put it better myself in my opinion.

I don't know any more thn you do but i don't think sylar is dead...what i would like to know is who is this even more dangerous charachter that they talk about!?
