Why do you think they stopped showing prison break until January 14 ?!
Question: It looks like they stopped everything, there was nothing new on TV yesterday....(I'm also watching Bones and I also have to wait for January for the next new episode).
Last year, they resumed Prison Break on January 22nd and the year before on March 20th! So at least I'd say it's getting better.

Because they are showing the new season in January. I love this show!! It's so addicting! I can't wait till January.
Because they haven't had time to make new episodes, and with the writers strike it will be even longer.
Either the season was over or it was because of the writer's strike.
All the writers in Hollywood went on strike so they have no scripts to film.

They are stretching the episodes because of the Writer's strike. Originally Prison Break was supposed to go off in early December..then come back in the spring of 08. But because of the strike, they have PB coming back in January...meanwhile pushing 24 back to God knows when : (
