What would TV be like if commercials didn't exist?!

Question: PBS? One never-ending program? A black screen that lasts for three minutes between programs so you can have time to get snacks and use the bathroom?

In general, shows wouldn't be that good, because the almighty advertising dollar wouldn't be dumped into the production. Shows are few and far between that are worth watching. Most just make it because so much money is thrown at it to make it work to a degree.

oh that would be soooo annoying, though i do like it when there are no commercial interuptions during DEXTER!

Better

There are no sadverts on BBC

ha i meant to put adverts but that worked out quite well

It will be so fun all of your favor shows you will be able to watch and the people on tv will make more money.

I love it!!! I record shows using the DVR from Dish. I'm always busy working, so when I get a chance, I watch my shows & just fast forward through the commercials. If I need to do something I can just pause it.

I love it!!!!

On some reality shows, they "stop" the action to "advertise":
"O.K., the racers now have to travel from Ocuanatarok, Columbia to the city of Mesatopatrix in Belize. To do this, they will all be driving in exact models of the all new Ford Explorer, voted the #1 truck during a lunar eclipse."

Now, imagine this happening on all the shows:
"Jack, we have to notify the FBI about the bomb!"
"THERE'S NO TIME!!!! I'll just have to drive there and deactivate it myself. Good thing I have the all-new GM Fusion. In tests, it gets better gas mileage than the Ford Caprice and the Mercury Cougar."

Commercials are annoying, but it beats advertising the other way. Just TIVO the show and scan through the commercials.

expensive
